Untying The Knot: Soulful Separation and Self

What if divorce could be more than loss? More than pain?

What if it could be a profound invitation — to meet yourself again, to step into the unknown with courage, and to find the soul still waiting beneath the unraveling?

In a world that often treats divorce only as failure, we will gather to honour it as both a human heartbreak and a spiritual threshold. Guided by Nóirín Ní Riain, PhD, this retreat offers a compassionate, poetic, and deeply grounded exploration of separation as a sacred undoing — a turning point that can lead us back to our truest selves.

Through live teachings, guided rituals of letting go, gentle conversation, and artistic offerings from the Irish tradition, we’ll navigate the inner landscape of endings — not to bypass the grief, but to meet it with presence, meaning, and hope.

Key Dates: 19 & 26 October (Sundays), 2025

Time: 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm Irish (2-hour sessions)

Untying The Knot: Soulful Separation and Self

A two-part online retreat to explore the deeper meaning of separation, to re-establish and reconnect with your own self, and to discover the resilience that can grow from profound loss.

Day One: The Soul of Separation

We begin by entering the raw and tender territory of endings — the grief, the confusion, the self-questioning that can flood the days after separation. Drawing on the Irish oral tradition, poetry, and personal experience, Nóirín and her sons will reflect on how the breaking of a bond can also be the breaking open of the soul. Together, we’ll explore the spiritual dimension of divorce — how, beneath the rupture, there can be a strange kind of invitation to begin again.

You’ll be guided in a live healing ritual for letting go, and invited into small breakout conversations — gentle, private spaces where you can share or simply listen, knowing you are not alone in your story.

Day Two: Returning to Self

In our second gathering, we turn toward the work of reclaiming — finding the parts of yourself left behind in the relationship, tending to your solitude, and slowly stepping into a new life. We’ll explore what it means to build a sense of belonging within yourself before seeking it again in others, and how resilience is less about “moving on” quickly than moving with honesty, compassion, and depth.

Poetic prompts, personal sharing, and another live ritual will mark the threshold from one chapter to the next. We will close with an affirmation of the courage it takes to face what has ended, and to trust in what might yet begin.

Whether you are freshly navigating separation or still finding your way years later, Untying the Knot offers a space of compassion, ritual, and renewal — an invitation to be witnessed, to heal, and to meet yourself anew on the other side.
